Dyanna Spa NYC: I think I need a trip here!

If I had one day to do whatever I wanted to do (haha, yeah right!) I would probably choose a day at the spa.

I really could use some relaxing and pampering.

I found an awesome spa in NYC called the Dyanna Body and Nail Salon Spa.

Now, I personally will never be able to take a little trip to NYC, especially not just to go to the spa, but I would love to!

The Dyanna Spa looks so beautiful! I love the atmosphere and the interior design there. It seems so peaceful and relaxing.

They have been voted "Best Spa for Bikini Waxing in NYC", "Best Spa For Brazilian Waxing in NYC", and "Best Spa for Overall Waxing in NYC". I mean, really, that is a great thing. Do you have any idea how many places there are for Hair Removal in NYC and Brazilian Waxing in NYC??

I really can't decide what I would do there! I would probably do a little bit of everything!

They have packages for massage, nail, facials, waxing, everything! I could easily spend at least a whole day here!

So, ladies, if you are ever in NYC and looking for a great way to pamper yourself, check out the Dyanna Body and Nail Salon Spa. You will be glad you did!

In the meantime, check out their YouTube channel here:

Okay, nobody likes taxes.

But, really, I hate them.

It seems like every single year, taxes get harder, more complicated, and there are more issues.

For example, this year, my refund is going to be almost a month later than I was promised.

That is not cool, when you have already figured out exactly what to spend your money on, what bills to pay, etc.

I really don't think it matters whether you are filing a Kentucky tax return like me, a Florida tax return, heck, any state at all.

Every single person knows that taxes suck.

Whether you get audited, have your refund delayed, or whatever, there is always something to worry about.

You guys may not know this, but there are actually quite a few free resources online to help you do your taxes correctly and stay out of trouble with the IRS. The IRS website actually has a good bit of information at http://www.irs.gov/efile/ to help people get their taxes taken care of at . The best part is there’s actually a free tax filing option if you meet their requirements. Apparently name brand tax software companies actually offer free tax preparation for certain people.

If you need any other info about taxes and how to get them taken care of I would suggest http://financialplan.about.com/od/taxesandtaxplanning/a/TaxGuide.htm as a fairly good resource for a guide. There’s tons of info for basically any situation you might be in.

What about you guys?

Are you having any tax issues this year?

Elizabeth Anne Shoes: A Purse For Your Feet!

If there are two things that girls love, it would be shoes and purses. So, when I recently heard about a company that combines both, I was really intrigued... Tell me more!

Elizabeth Anne Shoes is the first ever company to design a "purse for your feet"! Their signature product is the "Purse 'N Boots! The Purse 'N Boots has hidden pockets on the inside designed to help store your stuff. The idea is that you can go out on the town, shopping, partying, wherever, and not have to lug a giant purse around with you! I absolutely love this idea!

The pocket functions are amazing! They really have thought of everything! The left boot has a pocket designed specifically to hold an iPhone, Blackberry, etc. The right boot has a little wallet type pocket for cash, credit cards, etc. Love this idea!

And the best part about these shoes? They are cute!! I couldn't believe that they could make something that was so functional, yet also so cute and appealing!

Bottom line! What a cute and ingenious idea! I am really excited to hear about these boots and hopefully I will get to try them one day soon!

Check out Elizabeth Anne Shoes here to see for yourself!

Could Going Dye Free REALLY Be The Thing To Do?

Oh, yall.

It's been a while since I really, REALLY, talked to you guys, and I have so much to talk about.

Things have been bad here. Real Bad.

My sweet little Tater has been having some super bad behavior issues.

I am not sure that I can even adequately describe it to you.

He is like a whole other kid.

Sceaming, Yelling, Hitting, Kicking, Biting.

No listening, defiance, even screaming "I HATE YOU!"

I really have been at the end of my rope lately.

I have become so depressed over all of this. I feel like I am failing him as a mother.

He needs something from me that I am just not giving him, and I don't know what to do.

I have been doing a lot of reading, and I think that we are going to try to eliminate food dyes from our diet.

I really think that this might help.

Does anyone have any advice about this?

Let me know in the comments!

Kitchen Blossom for all your Kitchen needs!

If you guys know me, you know I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE kitchen products! I am crazy about all things cooking, even though I am not very good at it! I recently found a new site that I am really crazy about, and I am excited to share it with you guys!

The site that I found is called Kitchen Blossom, and the reason that I like them so much is because they help families. Kitchen Blossom really, really cares about families in need, and they donate 10% of all of their proceeds to a wonderful charity. Casa Por Cristo helps build houses for families in need in South America. If there is something I definitely  feel strongly about, it is making sure that all families have a safe place to call home. I know how important it is to me to have a safe place for my boys, and I believe that everyone deserves that. The truth of the matter is, that not everyone is lucky enough to have that. And, I really love when a company reaches out to others the way that Kitchen Blossom is doing.

The folks at Kitchen Blossom have some great products, like the Breville Juice Fountain Plus. I would love to have one of these bad boys! It even has a separate pulp collector so that the pulp doesn't get into the juice! LOVE that! This is such a wonderful product that any home cook would love to own, and if you are going to buy one, why not buy one from a great place like Kitchen Blossom? Then, it is a win-win! You get a great piece, and you are helping someone in the process! Love it!

Time To Talk About Social Anxiety.

I don't usually like to talk about serious topics, I like to keep things light on the blog.. But sometimes, I feel like we should talk about more serious subjects. Today, that subject is social anxiety. Social anxiety is a condition that affects many people, but not many people like to talk about it.

Most people get nervous when presented with an awkward social situation, but people with social anxiety can actually experience physical symptoms. Sweating, muscle tension, vomiting, heart pounding, etc.

If you are suffering, or know someone who is suffering from social anxiety, I have recently found a great blog with treatment tips and help for others! For example, a recent post on this blog was about the importance of a social anxiety disorder treatment plan. For someone faced with this difficult condition, this blog would really be helpful for them!

The truth is, that social anxiety can be manageable. There are a lot of options for anxiety treatment out there, and don't be afraid to seek help if you need it!

A Balance Bike For Beanie?

Riding a bike is a big deal to a kid. So, yeah, I dropped the ball on this one with Tater. The kid is almost six and still can't ride a bike. He is too sensitive, and every SINGLE time we try to teach him, he gives up and starts crying the first time that he falls down. Sigh.

Now that Beanie is almost two, I have been thinking of getting him a  wooden balance bike to help him start off right. Balance bikes first started out in Europe, but they are getting popular here in the USA. Pretty much, you teach your kid to ride a bike without pedaling first. The balance bikes have no pedals and you just teach your kid to balance and there are no training wheels! This would have been SUCH a good thing for Tater. He is almost six and the only kid on our street who still rides with training wheels. But he refuses to learn.

I love the fact that little Beanie could learn to ride using a balance bike. They can weigh as little as seven pounds, so it wouldn't be too heavy for him to balance. I love the look of the Strider bikes, they really look like "real" big kid bikes, and he could feel right at home playing with his big brother and friends!

I found a great site called Balance Bikes 4 Kids with all kinds of great info about balance bikes and even reviews! I have been reading up and learning all about them! I am thinking of getting him one soon, and when I do, I will update you guys and let you know how it is working out for us!

Who Doesn't Love Diaper Coupons?

Which diaper is the best?

I don't know about you guys, but Pampers have always been our number one choice for diapers. Especially for new babies, the Swaddlers just can't be beat! I have recently found a great resource for printable Pampers coupons for 2012! Everybody knows how expensive diapers are these days, especially if you prefer a good name brand like Pampers.

If you are new to buying diapers or just new to the Pampers brand, this site also has tons of Pampers diaper reviews so you can find out what other people think! You can sign up to receive an email each time they post a new coupon, and you can also find a list of all the Gifts 2 Grow points on this site! I highly recommend Gifts 2 Grow, it is a great way to get freebies!

Good luck on your diaper journey!

Camping Is The Best Vacation!

Two years ago, we took Tater on the best (only) vacation of his life. We went camping at Elkhorn Campground in Frankfort and he probably has asked me to go back at least once a week since.

This is a place that is very near and dear to my heart. My family has been coming to this campground since wayyy before I was born, probably 30+ years. It is one of those places that gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling just to think about, so this may be kind of a biased review, but I don't apologize for that! ;)

Elkhorn Campground is in Frankfort, Ky ,on the banks of the (what else?) Elkhorn Creek. It's quiet, peaceful, beautiful. All the things my home is not! (maybe that's what i like about it!) There are only 5 tent spaces, however there are around 120 rv sites, and somewhere around 110 of them are paved sites. I think somewhere around 60 of those rv sites have full hook ups, including cable tv.

The campground is open April 1- Oct 31 every year, and you can rent sites by the day, week, or even month! The creek runs right behind sites 6-38, so you can fish right outside your RV. (You must have a Kentucky fishing license to fish.)

The campground has a big focus on family and family activities. There is a wonderful in-ground swimming pool, with layout chairs and picnic tables with umbrellas. There is mini-golf, which if it hasn't changed, only costs $1.00 per person to play! There is a giant playground with swings, monkey bars, slides, and lots of creative play equipment. Also there are horseshoes, a volleyball court, a basketball court, and shuffleboard.

There is a giant pavillion located near the playground that has a huge fireplace for clubs and meetings and things like that. They have church services there on Sunday mornings, and sometimes have hosted Bingo and things like that there. Inside the pavillion is also a pool table and a few arcade games, and a jukebox. (My favorite thing ever! I heart songs of the early 90's!)

There is a wonderful little general store located at the front of the campground, that sells everything you would ever need in case you forgot anything. Last year we actually bought tent stakes there (oops! ) The highlight of the general store is the ice cream, which is a family tradition and treat to get ice cream before a bed-time walk. There is also a small laundry facility located next to the general store in case you just miss doing laundry too much and need to do it on your vacation too!

The road around the campground is a paved circle, and it's a great place for family walks. Tater really enjoyed riding his bike around the circle while we went for a walk, since he never has a level, even, paved place to ride (damn country living!) It would also be a great place to take Bean walking in his stroller.

Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring, in addition to your electric and water hookups. You can bring your own firewood, or buy some at the general store, and they will actually deliver it to your campsite so you don't have to carry it! (speaking of delivering to your campsite, pizza guys will also deliver to your campsite, but shhh, I always cook when we're camping! )

There is a bathhouse with potties and showers, so you won't be stinky. The showers have great shower heads with lots of hot water and plenty of water pressure. I'm just throwing that out there because I always worry about taking a shower somewhere new, I don't want it to be crappy!

Elkhorn Campground has been a place my family has been going for a very long time, and I will continue to take my babies there, and hopefully my grandbabies someday. It is a clean, family-friendly atmosphere, which you can not find in many places these days. I love it there, and it makes my heart happy just thinking about it! *Sigh.* I'm ready to go camping! :)

If you would like to make reservations you can call the campground at (502) 695-9154. Office hours are 8am-8pm Sunday-Thursday, and 8am-10pm Friday & Saturday. Or visit their website here.
*Disclosure: Elkhorn Campground did not provide me with anything in exchange for this review, aside from all my wonderful childhood memories! :)

(And when you're not  dreaming about camping, check out some of the best skincare products ever!)
